About the Role

 

Swiss Re is looking for an experienced SAP General Ledger (GL) Manager who is capable to operate in a globally distributed setup to enable the successful and timely execution of the global financial closing processes. You will be a key contributor to build and operate the SAP General Ledger based on SAP FI-CO, SAP S/4 Finance within Swiss Re's Finance Transformation Program and ultimately in the Global Finance Organization of Swiss Re. You'll have the opportunity grow into the role to lead a team to develop and operate the SAP GL processes and functionalities that meet the requirements stemming from Financial Accounting and Reporting Organizations. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to work with the latest SAP S/4 HANA technology based on an Azure Cloud hosted environment. Your working location will be Bratislava.


Your responsibilities encompass


•    Deliver SAP GL functionality within an agile organizational setup
•    Extend, improve and automate financial closing processes based on SAP GL functionalities
•    Support the Global Quarterly Financial Closing Activities within SAP GL
•    Management of all SAP GL related activities such as Change Management, Operations and Development Work
•    Act as main contact for the Financial Accounting and Reporting Organizations
•    Act as a coach within a Chapter of Business Analysis Experts
•    Introduce agile SAP customizing and ABAP development practices

 

About the Team


The SAP GL Closing team is operating as a Squad team in an agile DevOps Operating model with end-to-end responsibility (development & change management along the full life cycle) for the General Ledger Product. The SAP GL functionalities are key to deliver the financial statements for both internal and external reporting requirements. In order to ensure that the General Ledger Product meets the expectations of the business, the team is collaborating closely with all partners to ensure short feedback cycles and continuous improvements of functionalities.

 

About you

 

Skills, Experience & Qualifications
•    10+ years of SAP FI-CO / SAP S4 Finance hands-on experience.
•    Resilience to stress and capability to deal with unforeseen situations
•    Sound Financial Accounting Knowledge
•    Experience in delivering in an agile development organization
•    Delivery oriented and independent working style
•    Very good communication skills with “hands-on” mentality
•    Analytical and conceptional thinking capabilities
•    English speaking
•    Financial Accounting Knowledge
•    In-depth SAP know-how of FI and CO
•    Sound experience in modelling and execution of complex end to end processes
•    Leadership skills to coordinate across different stakeholder groups
•    Prioritization Skills
•    SAP Customizing and ABAP Programming

 

Minimum base salary for this job from 2700 EUR gross/month/full time. Our offer to you may be higher based on your skills and experience and will include additional rewards and benefits.
