About The Role

Technical Leadership:

  • The Senior Technical Architect would be the technology and solutions leader for MDM, responsible for the design, development and implementation of the system and supporting data governance, data quality and advanced data analysis functions.
  • Define the solution architecture and set the technical direction, develop individual component architectures and review detailed designs for accuracy and overall compliance to the architectural guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain standards, patterns, designs and data models for the implementation of MDM solutions.
  • Provide mentorship and technical expertise to the implementation team on topics like the development of data models, new integration patterns and complex business rule implementations etc.
  • Lead small project teams to deliver assigned task in the above-mentioned fields; also, equally competent in working on technical, configuration and process related tasks independently
     

Innovation and Partner Management:

  • Keeping up-to-date on newest technologies, standards and tools in areas relevant to MDM; showcase new technical solutions and advising the business on the technical and business value of the new propositions.
  • Provide consultation around innovations in the areas of data and digital transformation, the customer digital journey, functional/application designs and ensure technology and business solutions represent business requirements.
  • Communicate and collaborate with business representatives, enterprise architects, data owners, application owners and other partners in crafting the MDM conversations/topics.

 

About The Team

As part of the Group IT organization within Swiss Re, we are the main points of contact for our customers, business partners and enterprise architects for all Master Data Management topics. We are a team of data analysts and software engineers, spread across multiple locations globally, responsible for all stages of software development lifecycle including data/business analysis, solution engineering and platform maintenance for nearly 700 master and reference data sets.

 

About You

Education:

  • You have a master's / bachelor's degree in information management, Computer Science, Business Administration or equal
     

Experience:

  • You have 10+ years of work experience, with at least 5 years of application engineering experience and 3 years as an MDM Architect, defining and executing MDM projects.
  • You have previous experience of developing end to end MDM solutions. Experience of EBX MDM platform is an added advantage
  • You are proficient in data modelling and have development experience in Java, SQL for Oracle/DB2, Web-Services, Message Queue
     

Soft Skills:

  • You have strong analytical, solution crafting and problem-solving skills
  • You have excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
  • You are a strong proponent of Agile and have experience of working with globally dispersed teams.
     

Miscellaneous:

  • Other activities / responsibilities might include performing position related tasks as instructed by Supervisor, for example, marketing, conduct trainings, management reporting, administrative tasks, providing cover for other roles in the team etc. Some travel to other Swiss Re locations may be required.

Minimum base salary for this job from 2500 EUR gross/month/full time. Our offer to you may be higher based on your skills and experience and will include additional rewards and benefits.We are required by law to disclose basic wage component (minimum salary) for the advertised positions.
