We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Tax Technology Business Analyst to join the Tax Technology & Project team within the Swiss Re Group Tax team.

In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development and rollout of new functionality and technology solutions for the tax department.

 

Your key activities will include:
 

  • Liaising with multiple stakeholders within the business and IT functions to gather, document, analyze and communicate the needs and requirements of the business users
  • Translating the business requirements into technical documentation and ensuring all stakeholders (Business and IT) have a clear and common understanding of both the business priorities, needs and the proposed solutions
  • Collaborating with IT  team to translate business needs into technical systems and process improvement solutions
  • Recommending process and application enhancements
  • Working with multiple stakeholders to propose and deliver new/enhanced tax technology solution designs and process changes in line with business priorities and strategy
  • Supporting with the preparation of validation and testing requirements
  • Developing and implmenting change management plans
  • Contributing to the successful implementation of ongoing and new system improvement projects that have an impact on Group Tax

 

About the team

You will be joining the newly created Group Tax Technology & Projects team. Our mandate is to define the technology strategy for Group Tax and to develop technology solutions which benefit the team as well as meeting the demands of global tax digitalization. We are focused on delivering benefits to our stakeholders and are a highly collaborative and dynamic team.

 

About You

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in either Finance, Accounting or IT Management  preferred or comparable qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a Finance, Tax or IT Department, thereof ideally 2-3 years of prior business analyst experience
  • Experience with  an ERP implementation program (SAP or Oracle) is a plus
  • Exposure to process mapping, business process reengineering and business process improvement
  • Experience developing business requirements, instructional and procedural documentation and presentations
  • Excellent project management, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
  • Ability to cultivate networks throughout an organization to gather support and to work in an agile manner
  • Detail oriented with the ability to analytically identify issues, recognize and take appropriate action or recommend possible scenarios to solve problems
  • Ability to drive forward multiple deliverables in parallel
  • Familiarity with tax concepts and process is a plus (e.g. VAT, transfer pricing, income tax accounting, withholding tax)

 

Minimum salary from 2500 EUR gross/month/full time and other rewards. Our offer to you may be higher based on your experience.*
