Team Lead Digital Risk Control CSO (Hybrid setup)
Join a team of digital risk governance and controls professionals helping Swiss Re to fulfil its mission in making the world more resilient. As a Team Lead for Digital Risk Control, you will be responsible first-line digital & technology operations risk and control activities for Swiss Re's Group Functions – ensuring risks are identified, controls applied, and the performance is monitored, measured, and reported to our technology and business leaders. What's more, you'll be working in a hybrid setup, perfectly balancing work from home and the office premises.
About the team
The Security Team is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, corporate security, governance, operational resilience, risk and compliance. Digital Risk Governance & Control is a key part of Swiss Re's Security Team, defining and advancing the company's risk and control strategy for digital-related topics. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated team leader who helps to drive the company's risk culture.
In your role, you will…
- Lead the small Digital Risk Control team responsible for Chief Security Office at Swiss Re
- Keep oversight and coordinate the Group IT External Audit
- Be responsible for continuous improvement of the implementation of the digital risk framework and establish a strong risk culture within the organisational structures
- Ensure threats and risks are understood, issues are handled timely, and that controls are designed and operating effectively
- Embed controls into operational procedures by collaborating with our digital & technology teams to automate, measure performance, and continuously improve our risk position
- Build operational transparency with continuous monitoring and assessment of controls so that we meet our risk appetite and drive corrective actions where needed
- Lead, inspire, and develop the Digital Risk Control team by establishing an environment which enables autonomy and proficiency for all team members
Your qualifications
What we need from you
- A track record of successful delivery in IT governance, IT audit, or operational risk management (preferably within similar position or Big Four)
- Experience in managing IT Audits (as an audit manager or internal coordinator)
- Strong people management and leadership skills and enthusiasm for building a successful team
- The ability to convey information to diverse audiences – from Senior Management level to IT development teams
- General understanding of Risk Management Frameworks such as COBIT, ISO 31000 or COSO ERM
- Passion, drive, and a belief in the value of digital risk management as an enabler of business performance
- Ability to continuously build and maintain a strong collaborative network within the business domains
- The ability to communicate, collaborate, and influence across a broad spectrum of stakeholders – including IT security teams, technology management and legal & compliance experts
- A high level of integrity, result-oriented approach, and composure under pressure
- CISA, CGEIT, CRISC or similar qualifications would be an advantage
- Fluency in spoken and written English. Other languages are a plus
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 3,700] and [EUR 6,700] per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
• the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
In the situation where you significantly exceed the requirements, the offered salary may be above the advertised range.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
