About the Role


We, Employee Workplace, a unit within Group Technology Services, are looking for a Senior Catalyst Leader who has a passion for people, a knack for navigating complex people situations and who would like to have a significant impact on the personal and professional development of the people within the chapter and our unit overall.


As a Chapter Lead, you will:

  • Inspire, lead, coach, mentor and develop a sizable number of individuals (aprox.20 internal employees) and teams in multi-disciplinary cross-functional set-ups across the globe in the position as their line manager and according to the shared leadership vision of Swiss Re InfoTech
  • Encourage and enable personal and professional development/ upskilling and co-create/ evaluate growth opportunities for individual, team, and organizational development to remain future-ready
  • Co-create an inspiring and productive work culture that enables reflection and supports constant learning and improvement while mobilizing inner solutions
  • Co-create a safe environment that embraces diversity and allows leadership from every seat and failure to happen as part of continuous learning/ growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve and to resolve complex/ non-routine individual, team and organizational issues (including hands-on/ implementation of solution)
  • Contribute to and take part of decisions that are crucial to the organization and that have ongoing impact
  • Encourage contribution and involvement from others through co-creating a shared vision and empowering people and teams to drive transformative change and with that grow organizational capability
  • Provide HR related services


About the Team


GTS Employee Workplace provides cutting-edge products, services and support enabling Swiss Re's workforce to work from anywhere (remote and in every location), anytime in a stable and secured environment; giving them the time to focus and innovate.


We achieve this through:

  • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive portfolio of standard end to end digital workplace products and services needed to support productivity, collaboration and communication (e.g. Microsoft Office 365, Windows 10)
  • Local office workplace hardware lifecycle management, support and provisioning
  • Supporting local or regional office and individual business unit requirements in the area of footprint changes, legal and compliance requests, BCM and ITSCM events.
  • Standardizing our portfolio catalogue of services and end user technology products, helping to provide greater transparency and efficiency, enabling every employee to be educated and supported equally regardless of their respective location. 
  • Leveraging our global, regional and local vendors, suppliers and service provider relationships to balance value for money and high-end technical solutions.


About You


In order to be successful as a Chapter Lead in this environment you need to have:

  • A background as a Line Manager in IT, Coach (Personal, Team or Organisational Development Coach) or in HR (Organization and People Development, Business or Talent Partner)
  • A track-record managing individuals and teams in challenging situations and environments that require sensibility, collaboration, dedication and motivation
  • Leadership Agility – know and consciously decide when to act as an Expert, Achiever or Catalyst. Sense and offer to act as Coach or Mentor depending on what's best for the employee and the organisation.
  • Extensive experience in building and maintaining trustworthy relationships and a dialogue with and among the people
  • Cultural awareness and international experience
  • Extensive listening and communication skills with strong attention to both, the big picture/ system overall as well as on the details/ the individuals within
  • A 'can do' mentality with strong motivational skills and the ability to react dynamically, effectively and efficiently to an everyday changing environment
  • A curious mind that explores all and every possibility for continuous improvement and the ability to think and act conceptually, analytically and hands-on based on hard and soft data
  • A sincere interest for people, teams and organisations, their growth and well-being

​​​​​​​Minimum base salary for this job is from 2700 EUR gross/month/full time. Our offer to you may be higher based on your skills and experience and will include additional rewards and benefits. *
