About the role

 

Are you interested in accounting and reporting? Would you like to analyze financials in the context of bigger picture? Then we have a great opportunity just for you!

 

We provide you the chance to gain a deep understanding of our business and the accounting rules (USG and IFRS). You will have a chance to explore reporting out of SAP and collaborate closely with the senior team members and other professionals in different functions that will support your professional and personnel development. We work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and you will get the opportunity to join well established team and optimize our processes. In a near future, you will be able to learn with us also new IFRS standard which has to be adopted by all our legal entities.

 

Main tasks

 

  • Review and submit the USG financial data to Swiss Re Group reporting team

  • Execute the quarterly close of US-GAAP financial statements by monitoring the closing process and performing quality assurance checks

  • Support external audit activities and prepare requested information in connection with internal audits

  • Support preparation of quarterly or annually reporting to senior management or other internal clients

  • Contribute to improve processes and systems to ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and audit requirements and also to meet internal management expectations

 

About the team

 

We are looking for a motivated Junior Financial Reporting & Analysis Specialist to join one of our Carrier Reporting & Analysis Services teams in Bratislava. Jointly and in close collaboration with Carrier team in Switzerland, the team plays a pivotal Finance role in the preparation, analysis and reporting of financial information for all valuations for Swiss based legal entities of Swiss Re.

 

About you

 

We would be happy to meet candidates with:

  • University degree preferably in finance/accounting/economics and with 1-3 years of relevant working experience

  • Knowledge and experience in the preparation of financial statements, ideally in the financial industry

  • Excellent command of the English language

  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel, knowledge of SAP would be advantage

  • Analytical skills and ability to work independently with complex details

  • Stress resistant and able to deal with tight deadlines on quarterly

The minimum gross monthly base salary for this role is 1300 EUR full time. Our final offer to you will be set up fairly, considering the skills and experience that you bring to the Swiss Re Group.
