About the role

 

As Employee Communications Manager, you're responsible for developing and executing internal communications campaigns for Swiss Re in the Americas. You'll bring fresh ideas, a flair for storytelling, strong writing skills and an appetite to use new tools and formats to create engaging communications material and align employees with Swiss Re's business priorities.

You'll join the Americas communications team, which is a vital part of a highly motivated global communications community of 100+ people who are committed to driving differentiation and helping Swiss Re achieve a competitive advantage as a market and opinion leader. We support various business units, align employees to our strategy and position Swiss Re as a data-driven risk knowledge leader.

About you

 

You must have:

  • A Bachelor/Master degree or equivalent in communications, change mangement, marketing or journalism.
  • 5+ years experience in communications, ideally in internal, culture change or digital communication, in a corporate or agency environment (ideally with a financial services/b2b background).
  • Excellent storytelling, writing, messaging, editing abilities.
  • Exposure to and ability to navigate in complex global matrix environment.
  • Ability to translate and simplify complex concepts.
  • Ability to lead and implement communications initiatives.
  • Strong planning, project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills – including working with colleagues around the world.
  • Appetite to adapt and apply new tools, formats and strategies.
  • Experience in digital, community management, or social media related efforts.
  • Visual communication, basic graphic design or video editing skills are a plus.
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic, ever-changing work environment and navigate through ambiguity.

  • Motivated, curious, positive and eager to learn and collaborate. 
  • Proficient in English.
  • Able to write in Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus.
  • Digital/social media savvy.
  • Able to work with tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
  • Energetic and flexible.
