International Property Underwriting Intern

About the Role:

The main focus of this role is to assist the International Property Underwriting Team to produce a marketing plan for Q3 and Q4 2024. You will also provide initial analysis of underwriting submissions and interact with other functional areas including Customer Management, Claims and Risk Engineering.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify and validate international property program target accounts using internal and external data sources.
  • Use property underwriting tools to check data accuracy against insurance submissions, review natural catastrophe model output, assist in claims analysis and review contract accuracy.
  • Review policy and premium reports, identify and resolve discrepancies.

 

About the Team:

The International Property Underwriting team focuses on underwriting the property exposures of large global corporate and middle market clients. 

 

About You: 

  • In Junior year of an undergraduate degree program or first year Graduate students with exceptional academic performance (GPA of 3.0 and above)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated, hardworking, analytical, and proactive
  • Computer proficiency and Excel skills are required. Power BI experience is a plus.
