About the Role:
You will be responsible for delivering / assisting to deliver Life & Health (L&H) claims services to our clients in Hong Kong and Taiwan markets. Such services include consultation on case referrals, claims reviews and audits, knowledge sharing, hosting market seminars and events, product innovations and solution development.

You will need to engage external clients and internal colleagues, to monitor the claims aspects of in-force portfolios, and to provide feedback gained from claims work to other teams within the organization.

 

About the Team:
You will be a valuable member of the Asia Claims Team. Our team members are strategically located in various Asian cities.  The product we focus on are mainly Mortality, Critical Illness, Disability, Accidental Covers, Total and Permanent Disability, Hospital Income, Surgical Cash and other lump sum payment products.

Swiss Re (L&H) Claims forms part of the Swiss Re L&H Business Management function which is responsible for managing in-force business and the related operations. There are four units within the Business Management division; Claims, Actuarial Management, Portfolio Management and Technical Accounting. In addition to the in-force management of existing business, Business Management ensures insights gained from in-force business are appropriately incorporated in our new business activities.

L&H Business Management works closely with L&H Products Team, Client Markets Team and other Swiss Re teams to ensure Swiss Re has aligned priorities and client focus whilst delivering market-specific, portfolio-directed services, which support our overall strategic approach to managing risks and client relationships.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to become part of the Swiss Re L&H Business Management team and collaborate with clients and various teams within Swiss Re locally and regionally

 

About You:
• 6 years of claims (or underwriting) experience regarding above mentioned products or Medical products
• Good track record in your career of high integrity, of dedication, client-centric mindset, agility, of sensibly creating or trying new ways with success and/or learning.
• Able to work independently
• Equipped with interpersonal skills needed for a B2B environment.
• Fluent English and Cantonese. Mandarin is a plus.
• Familiar with common office applications (e.g. Word, Excel and Powerpoint). Willing to learn new computer skills.
• FLMI, FLHC/ ALHC, ACS destinations is a plus
• A degree/diploma in below or similar discipline (insurance, medicine, healthcare, legal, actuarial, business disciplines, data science and mathematics) is an advantage.
