About the Role

This is an enriching growth opportunity within the Globals Division of the Reinsurance Business Unit. The successful candidate will be integral to the resilience and long-term success of the AIA account – one of our top global clients – with additional responsibilities for some other key global client relationships in Asia. You will be the voice of the client, a catalyst for sales excellence and work with your Client Leadership Team, to understand, prioritize, differentiate & execute on the needs of your client portfolio. We will enable you to use your experience, skills & capabilities and help you unlock your potential. The main tasks and activities of this role comprise the following:

 

  • Profit centre responsibility and accountability for AIA globally including planning and budgeting.
  • Drives business origination and active portfolio management, leveraging SR Group’s full capabilities to drive profitable growth.
  • Supports Client Executive in management of global business relationships across all lines of business, functions and regions.
  • Ensures top quality execution of client planning, renewals, deal opportunities, solution initiatives
  • Strong communication skills to handle internal and external engagement related to origination and negotiation activities.
  • Deal team leadership and support for large transactions.
  • Understands client motivation, needs, priorities, strategy as well as risk & capital drivers and aligns these with SR’s deliverables in order to develop win-win solutions which leverage the full range of SR capabilities.
  • Development of marketing plan and implementation in conjunction with client leadership team to deliver impact of SR's differentiated proposition.
  • Regional Key Account Management covering several Globalinos where you will support the Global KAM and CLT on coordinating reinsurance activities in the region and take ownership of clients regional C-suite relationships and our engagement plan.
  • In addition to client responsibilities this role will be a senior sales leadership position within the business. You will need to be a visible and vocal champion for Sales Leadership priorities, and drive initiatives that reinforce our commercial culture and operational excellence in Sales and Origination activities.
  • Position includes significant travel.

 

Representation activities:

  • Develop and maintain relevant professional network, both internally and externally.
  • Contribution to and support for C-suite and top-level meetings.

About You

Education

  • A university degree or equivalent education/experience

Professional Experience

  • 10+ years' experience in a complex international insurance / reinsurance business
  • Background and experience in regional account management and exposure to long sales cycle business that requires disciplined network planning to achieve breadth and depth of client engagement. 
  • Strong background of delivering client service and solutions demonstrating a 'clients' view' in approach through superior consultative sales and negotiation skills
  • Marketing experience and ability to deploy key messaging back to clients on impact
  • Outstanding understanding of market dynamics and trends, L&H re/insurance products and evolving client needs
  • Strong knowledge of insurance company finance drivers
  • Proven track record of building productive and collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders on a senior management level
  • Experience in managing large scale initiatives /projects within a matrix organisation
