About the Team

Become a part of a growing and dynamic entrepreneurial team within our established firm. iptiQ is a start-up unit, established to provide innovative protection solutions via business-to-business-to-consumer models. Our team delivers the coordination, infrastructure and competences across the APAC region that are key to driving forward this new business; working closely with our partners and clients.  Are you an experienced project manager, e.g. in a regional office of a primary insurance company who thrives at collaborating with people across the group to craft phenomenal Finance IT solutions to build up a business? Are you passionate about the efficiency for our teams working on the novel finance platforms?

 

About the Role

You will report to and work directly with CFO iptiQ APAC, to establish the finance technology and processes for all our iptiQ businesses in APAC. The key objective is to ensure the quality and efficiency of our Finance set-up in the region, first in China. You will benefit from insights into various markets and from working in a start-up within a 156-year old Swiss company.  We love numbers, foster openness and balance the needs of multiple clients! Compliance with the spirit and letter of regulation is a must at all times. We work in an inclusive environment and deal with various requests from clients under time pressure. We are looking for your finance and technology knowledge and insights!

 

You will:

  • Own the finance business and IT projects in each market we enter
  • Coordinate the execution of our financial platform and processes across multiple finance and IT teams
  • Cooperate with IT and Finance IT in system development and improvement
  • Detail the requirements of Finance for new core business systems and data aggregation rules
  • Craft and add our business in regulatory reports
  • Support the local teams in defining their processes, charts of accounts, mapping to system attributes and standard operating procedures
  • Seek the advice of central finance units
  • Ad hoc tasks required.

 

About You

You have:

  • Experience of 8+ years in setting up the Finance IT of primary insurance carriers
  • Detailed knowledge of local finance, technology and reporting regulation in China
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Computer Science
  • Good spoken and written Mandarin and English – both are musts
  • Excellent command in Microsoft Excel, Python is a plus
  • Knowledge of Sun GL and SAP systems is a definite advantage
  • Patience and willingness to go above and beyond
