About the Role

 

 

  • Align with distribution partners on mutual local strategic priorities and define appropriate engagement model with broking firm counterparts
  • Execute strategic go-to-market distribution plan with emphasis on managed brokers covering core top and bottom line goals and appropriate strategic initiatives and milestones to support
  • Understand Managed Brokers strategy in-country and across the region and communicate internally with appropriate stakeholders
  • Develop strategic (“go to market”) customer (account) plan for managed customers covering core top and bottom line goals and to support appropriate strategic initiatives and milestones
  • Generate new business opportunities, optimize our product offerings and services to deepen Swiss Re Corporate Solutions' relationship with its managed customers and channels (existing and new)
  • Develop and maintain/deepen professional relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

 

Major Activities

 

  • Define appropriate engagement model with local broker counterparts e.g. quarterly meetings to review priorities, risk appetite, business production, and communicate successes
  • Interpret data on broker performance (e.g. share of wallet, acquisition costs etc.) and extract insights for the business
  • Build and manage deal pipeline with distribution partners ensuring alignment with underwriting teams
  • Work with underwriters to execute OBR portfolio priorities with managed brokers in the respective markets
  • Lead and coordinate all new and renewing business transactions activities and relationship regarding our key and strategic customers
  • Implement local and regional distribution campaigns (where applicable)


About You

 

Educational background

  • A University degree with or equivalent education/experience

 

Professional experience

  • Significant and varied experience in the insurance market either in customer and distribution management, underwriting, risk management or insurance marketing complemented by practical experience in executing non-standard risk transfer solutions
  • Broad industry network with key stakeholders (international and local brokers, corporate risk managers, insurance professionals) and good understanding of market practice in Hong Kong and Taiwan
  • Track record in sales, relationship management and new business origination
  • Track record in dealing with complex transactions
  • Extensive products knowledge in Property, Casualty, Financial Lines, Engineering and Construction  line of business

 

Other skills

  • Demonstrate ability of navigating ambiguity and adapting to changes
  • Demonstrate ability on working independently, efficiently and under pressure

 

Language

  • Fluency in English and Chinese

Candidates with less experience will be considered AVP level position.
