This is an exciting opportunity to join Swiss Re Corporate Solutions as an Business Analyst supporting the growth of international programmes. This position will learn the inner workings of handling International Business by processing assignments timely and accurately, as well as providing administrative and technical support to the Underwriters and Client Managers.

 

About the Role

  • Initiate and manage interactions with local clients/brokers
  • Ensure compliance to policies and regulations by conducting local clearing of KYC,ITC,AML etc 
  • Support international program costing incl. management of insured values 
  • Capture program structure and premium allocation in IPA 
  • Support the creation of a quote and binder according to Underwriting guidelines 
  • Prepare local policy including requesting, collecting and capturing the required data, populating local policy cards and finalizing premium allocation within given SLAs/KPIs
  • Communicate local policy instructions to all local offices 
  • Maintain program structure and handles premium relevant endorsements throughout the life cycle 
  • Serve as connector between local broker/client and IFM, including following up in case of payment delays.
  • Assist underwriters and operations manager to follow up on issues
  • Deliverables of the role 
    • Program structure and premium allocation 
    • Create Local Policy Request Forms 
    • Program binder 
    • Local policy and client invoice


About You

  • University Degree or above
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant insurance experience required
  • Must be proficient with English
  • Strong customer focus and service orientation
  • Demonstrate collaborative approach in successfully working in virtual team in a matrix environment, understanding and exhibiting sensitivity to cultural differences
  • Ability to work on complex problems and review related detailed information to participate in developing and evaluating options and assist in implementing solutions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with internal and external people in a multi-cultural environment
  • Strong analytical skills including underwriting evaluation and determining and communicating recommendations to the underwriter when working within established underwriting guidelines and operating procedures
  • Build relationships to create a foundation for future influence
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and integrity
  • Ability to work independently with moderate oversight from managers
  • Agile, solutions and results oriented individual with an ability to multi-task
