About the Role

 

Position Objectives

 

You will be a sales leader with overall responsibility for managing Swiss Re's reinsurance business with key insurance client partners in Asia. In this role, you will be responsible and accountable for the profitable growth of the assigned clients, and the leadership of the cross functional Life & Health teams. This will include, but is not limited to, working with the local cross functional team (XFT)  in planning and budgeting, the development of client action plans, and agreement of resources with the APAC Regional L&H leadership across the markets in which your assigned clients are active. 

 

Main activities


You will lead the cross functional team to successfully originate profitable, multi-line business and active portfolio management leveraging Swiss Re Group's full capabilities. 

 

As a strategic yet hands-on leader, your role is to ensure top quality execution of client planning, new business opportunities across flow and transactions, and the management of inforce portfolios. This role will also coordinate and handle internal and external communications related to originations and negotiations. You are also expected to drive innovations, provide differentiated solutions based on full understanding of client needs and priorities as well as risk and capital drivers while keeping in mind SR deliverables to match these.

 

As a leader of the cross functional team, you are also expected to coach, develop and lead client managers, as well as being a role model and leader for all staff in the cross functional team, and to a play a leading role across the L&H client community in Asia.

 

About You


You have at least 10 years of work experience in complex international insurance/ reinsurance business with a stellar track record as sales leader. A natural team builder and networker, you bring along a strong business acumen and drive that gets you results. You have excellent communication and negotiations skills, with ability to handle conflicts and steer multiple parties ' interests into an aligned one. Flexibility and adaptability is expected to thrive in our complex and changing international and cross cultural environment. You are also well versed in dealing with senior stakeholders, both internal and external as well as developing and maintaining a relevant professional network.

 

You are also eager to expand boundaries of existing business and transaction model while being guided by a strong sense of integrity in all that you do.

 

This role will have a solid reporting line to the Head of Globals and L&H South Asia.
