About the Team

 

The mission of the Service Insights Centre is hugely ambitions – we want to provide autonomous IT Operations capabilities (e.g. with machine learning and AI) to recognize and resolve complex issues faster and with greater accuracy than humans can today, providing monitoring and predictive insights about how all IT services are meeting current and will meet future service level objectives (stability, availability, security, etc.).

About the Role

 

​​​The System Data Analytics squad aims to make sense of the large quantities of information being generated through our IT systems. By bringing a data centric approach to Service Insights Centre, our goal is to fundamentally improve our understanding, and performance of the IT landscape through the use of machine learning, data analytics and AIOps.

 

As a Data Engineer, you will be the responsible for the technical foundations connecting the work of the data scientists, the multi-platform environment (Palantir and Azure) and the various sources of inputs from various areas (configuration management databases, system metrics, logs, monitoring data, etc.). You will hence be central to the core decisions in developing the foundations of the platform, including collaboration with other products in order to investigate what data is available, and how it can be best leveraged.

 

 

About You

 

We are looking forward to meet you if you possess:

  • Experience in data ingestion pipelines, in particular pipelines handling large amounts of data, incremental data ingestion pipelines, etc.

  • Experience in data processing, cleaning and normalization.

  • Experience in Python, and data manipulation.

  • Experience with Apache Spark and PySpark.

  • Experience in large scale data analytics systems such as Databricks, Azure Synapse or Spark Clusters.

  • Experience in understanding system data, including logs and metrics, as well as in distributed, cloud architectures and systems would be a plus.
