About the Role

 

As iptiQ's data engineering team, we are responsible for designing developing and maintaining a data platform that supports multiple insurance products in different countries across EMEA.

 

During your internship in our organization, you will be part of the team and your contribution will be valued. You will work closely with data engineers, product engineers and business stakeholders to ensure that our data platform is scalable, efficient, and reliable. You will help us with various tasks and initiatives such as:

  • Develop new features for the platform.

  • Write end to end data pipelines along with automated tests.

  • Create and improve complex data models.

  • Ensure high data quality to meet the standards of a regulated industry.

  • Participate in the different team ceremonies and improving the way we work as a team.

  • Participate in code reviews.

  • Participate in operational activities.

 

You will learn from highly skilled data engineers, experience a professional software development lifecycle, explore new technologies, and get an insight into the world of insurance.”

The internship is full-time and for a period of 6 months.

 

About You

 

  • Resident in the Netherlands

  • Currently enrolled in a STEM degree such as Computer Science or recently graduated

  • Programming skills, for example in Python, SQL etc.

  • Strong verbal and written communication in English

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • A can-do attitude and willingness to learn

  • A HackerRank exercise followed by a technical take-home assignment.

  • Technical interviews (remote): covering technical topics and soft-skills with hiring manager, head of data, and the team.
