You are an engineer with strong programming skills in Java/Kotlin and experience and a solid understanding of API engineering. You are familiar with running and deploying Linux containers to Kubernetes, and you have knowledge of Relational and NoSQL Database Platforms and Application Telemetry and Monitoring. You are willing to creatively work through solutions evaluate the advantages and trade-offs of different approaches.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Crafting and writing containerized Microservices with Java and/or Kotlin
  • Docker and kubernetes knowledge preferred
  • Debugging skills and writing telemetry
  • Strong api controller design and implementation skills
  • Writing unit tests to verify code
  • Utilizing appropriate data stores (relational, non-relational, binary etc)
  • Documenting design proposals and implementations (Visio, Markdown)
  • Understanding of Events and Event Driven Architecture (Event Streaming, Kafka preferred)
  • Understanding of modern devops and CI/CD processes
  • Understanding of golang preferred
