About the Role

As Team Lead for the Non-Regulatory Reporting of CorSo Swiss Re Carriers, the candidate will understand relevant accounting principles, operational and financial processes, and financial statement requirements on all levels of reporting. This includes the ability to drive discussions with Swiss Re business leaders, connect business activities to impacts on financial results and is a strategic thinker.  A successful candidate will also understand complex financial transactions and related accounting implications. The position offers a unique opportunity for career development and to advance leadership skills.

 

About the Team

•    Manage the quarterly and annual US GAAP financial submissions of North American Corporate Solutions non-regulated legal entities
•    Ensure operational excellence through the execution and reporting of quarterly and annual internal controls 
•    Prepare management reports and performance analysis, while continually enhancing the process through automation and collaboration with global teams
•    Develop an understanding of data flow, system landscapes and system interactions impacting accounting transactions under relevant valuations and provide insight that helps to ensure a smooth flow of information through the accounting & reporting life cycle
•    Foster team development and capabilities for the future 


About You

 

Education/Professional
•    College graduate with BA or BS in Accounting
•    CPA certification or equivalent preferred
•    10+  years insurance experience preferred
•    Desire to develop leadership and management skills
Key skills and knowledge 
•    Excellent communication skills, ability to interact with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and experiences.  
•    Agile and flexible, ability to operate within a changing environment and navigate ambiguity. Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and prioritize
•    Flexibility to work in both a collaborative team environment as well as independently
•    Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver quality output on short deadlines and manage details without losing site of the "big picture"
•    Advanced excel skills required
