Furthermore, car sharing and car pooling apps are slowly changing the mobility ecosystem. Given the important part motor/auto insurance plays in our portfolio, Swiss Re has looked into these trends and subsequently built a new and highly innovative automotive department to provide adequate solutions to insurers and mobility players.

In order to help us position Swiss Re as a leader in automotive insurance, we are seeking the best leader for the Automotive Partnerships team.


About the Role:

As the Lead Automotive Partnerships you are responsible to define and execute on the strategy for Car Manufacturers or Mobility Providers. You lead a team of talents, support their personal and professional growth and act as a role model in terms of values, behaviors and business acumen. You must have a strong understanding of Insurance and the Automotive and Mobility sectors and have the ability to develop innovative business propositions and to persuade senior management to buy into them.


Responsibilities and Key Tasks:

  • To lead the Partnership team to success, with full accountability to meet and exceed assigned financial targets
  • To define and execute on a strategy that maximizes Swiss Re franchise in the Automotive space
  • Be active part of the Automotive and Mobility Solutions Management Team, provide insights, challenge and support your peers to give their best
  • To lead, coach and support team members. Define business and development goals and help them achieving them. Be a role model in term of trust and integrity
  • To build, develop and maintain a deep network within and outside Swiss Re. You are a respected professional people can count on.


About the team

Swiss Re P&C Solutions uses Swiss Re's risk expertise, strong capital base and new technology to help clients grow and improve profitability by developing innovative solutions and sharing the risk. The Automotive & Mobility Solutions team develops innovative solutions for Motor Insurance for Insurer, Car Manufacturers and Mobility Providers. In this role you will be leading a dedicated sales and delivery team working closely with clients to find solutions to their mobility related insurance needs. We are a global team that thrives via our innovative spirit and dedication that would provide you with an excellent opportunity to grow.

This role is open to candidates in any US location!



About You:

  • 8+ years' experience in the fields of primary motor insurance and/or relevant insurance related experience with OEM or mobility providers
  • Team-builder & networker: You have an engaging personality who enjoys working in a multi-cultural team environment and build long term empathetic relationships
  • Client focused & Solutions oriented: You must have extensive experience in primary motor insurance, automotive sector and/or mobility, passion for clients combined with a can-do attitude
  • Self-motivated & open-minded: you thrive in an environment where you have room to identify the next step on your own, asking for help proactively where required
  • Adaptive & organized: You are ready to adapt to the timescales, location and environment you face, have a quick attitude and structured thinking
  • Tenacious & reliable: you take a problem through to a high-quality solution without relenting, also under pressure
  • Sales oriented & Proficient: You have a passion for sales and marketing, a track record in successfully launching insurance products for car manufacturers and mobility providers
  • Proven managerial skills and track record of delivering on complex projects
  • Fluent English, knowledge of additional languages is a plus
