About the role:

Swiss Re Reinsurance are implementing a new systems and process environment to support the financial closing for the Reinsurance business through the ATLAS Programme. The IETV project is driving the development and implementation of the new end-to-end processes and systems for integrated economic and traditional financial reporting, from source to subledger and general ledger. The focus for Phase 1 2016-18 will be on co-developing a standard sub-ledger for (Re)-Insurance together with SAP and Phase 2 2019 to 2024 on implementation and rolling out to the Finance Reinsurance organisation. To facilitate the implementation an IETV Project Management Function, including a PMO support, has been setup. In addition, a Project Manager has been appointed to support the Roll-in work stream of IETV.

The role will be responsible for providing support to the Project Manager, Roll-in Project Manager and the PMO on a daily basis which includes:

Project Manager support

  • Assist in project planning and tracking
  • Assist in preparation for key meetings
  • Help to address ad hoc information requests

Assist in Project Finances / Budgets:

  • Current Year Resource / Budget, ATLAS Master Budget Updates
  • Supplier Contracts, Purchase Orders, Invoices

Assist in preparation and running of key governance meetings (project meetings arrangement, slides, minutes, support etc.)

  • IETV Steering Committee
  • ATLAS Steering Committee
  • IETV Design Board
  • SCDP Weekly Update
  • SCDP Core Team Project Planning Sessions

Project Management Team Member:

  • Daily PM Meetings
  • Bi-Weekly PM Meeting
  • Weekly IETV Status Report
  • Bi-Weekly ATLAS Status Report
  • Project Plan for work streams
  • Change Control/Sign off control
  • SCDP Metrics (Updates, Reconciliations etc.)
  • Exception Report/Delivery Management Report
  • Alignment with work streams on resources/deliverables

Roll in PM support:

  • Assist in roll in planning
  • Assist in developing change management plans
  • Assist in developing training plans
  • Assist in test planning

Any other Project Management / PMO activity as requested by the Project Manager, PMO, Roll in Project Manager or IETV Management Team.

This position will be London based and will be reporting to the Project Manager. 

 

About You:

  • University/College degree in Finance, business or similar
  • Studying for or achieved an accounting qualification
  • Some experience of the Reinsurance Industry
  • Basic understanding of financial and actuarial processes in a Reinsurance environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage and work with an international team
  • Good  presentation and writing skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint
