About the Role:

We are looking for a pro-active and highly motivated Senior Underwriter to join the Executive Risks team within our London branch of Corporate Solutions (CorSo).

 

This is an underwriting position for someone with broad experience and well established broker connections across the UK. The core focus is on contributing to the result-oriented underwriting of Directors and Officers Liability transactions as a progressive primary and excess insurer with multinational/local policy capabilities.

 

Your main tasks will be generating new business opportunities by leveraging your existing broker contacts and analyzing the technical insurability in respect of exposures and coverages, reviewing cover structures, wordings and proposals and preparing quotations. You will demonstrate a deep understanding of clients' requirements and expectations and to lead discussions with Brokers, existing and new Clients.

 

Your broad knowledge of the market will allow you to attract new opportunities and select the risks carefully and efficiently. Furthermore, you will contribute to bespoke CorSo projects, work in international deal teams and accept special assignments as required.

 

About you:

  • You will ideally have 5 plus years of primary D&O underwriting experience
  • Broad and strong network of UK D&O brokers and predominantly Commercial institution clients
  • Strong technical underwriting background and focus on service orientation
  • High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Team player, open-minded
  • Willingness to travel
  • Strong IT skills
