eDiscovery Manager Legal

About the Role

The main tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Supporting the technical, operational and policy-related aspects of eDiscovery procedures;
  • Working on cases with internal stakeholders and external counsel and service providers, with focus on data handling, preservation of evidence, collection, data transfer, processing and loading data onto a review platform;
  • Collaborating closely with internal IT teams on projects and processes which may impact eDiscovery practices;
  • Managing Legal Holds;
  • Analyzing eDiscovery requirements and evaluating and testing eDiscovery products and technologies regarding possible future use; and
  • Supporting continuous improvement of Swiss Re's eDiscovery processes and methodology.

 

About the Team

The eDiscovery Team actively implements the entirety of the EDRM lifecycle in its support of Swiss Re's claims-based disputes, general corporate litigation and investigations. In addition to advising internal stakeholders, the eDiscovery Team frequently interacts with and advises external service providers and outside counsel.

 

About You

We are looking for an eDiscovery Manager with both a technical background and a demonstrable awareness of key eDiscovery issues who will assume responsibility for managing all aspects of the EDRM at Swiss Re.

 

Required:

  • University degree or equivalent;
  • Minimum five years of eDiscovery experience with a highly regarded law firm, corporation or eDiscovery service provider;
  • Thorough understanding of the EDRM;
  • Extensive hands-on experience with document review platforms;
  • Understanding of different IT architectures, concepts and solutions as well as upcoming technology trends;
  • Experience and knowledge regarding cross-border data transfer;
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; and
  • The ability to convey complex technical issues to non-technical audiences.

 

Preferred:

  • Experience with Recommind; and
  • Demonstrated thought leadership within eDiscovery industry
