About The Role

 

We are seeing an accelerating technological change in insurance and reinsurance and are looking for an energetic and sales driven colleague to promote existing and develop new P&C Solutions. Working together with our client management, underwriting colleagues and an extended team, you seek opportunities for new business and earnings growth through originating opportunities for our solutions. You bring strong market presence and foster external relationships to translate clients needs to an attractive P&C Solutions offering.
 

Your responsibilities:

 

Solutions Origination

 

  • Exploring & Designing tools or services clients may need (including contribution to marketing, development and implementation);
  • Continuously ensure that evolving client requirements are captured and acted upon;
  • Build, maintain and expand a successful network with Swiss Re's existing clients (C-suite, Product Development, Distribution, Innovation and Underwriting) as well as new partners across the insurance value chain;
  • Own client deals from origination to implementation, including post sale;
  • Lead preparations and manage participation in tenders;
  • Embed P&C Solutions proposition into the overall Swiss Re value proposition to existing and new clients;
  • Support client markets and underwriting in their discussions with the clients, and presentations to the clients;
  • Keep abreast of market developments and opportunities relevant to P&C Solutions; and
  • Attend external and internal events to represent the P&C Solutions team.

 

Solutions Delivery

 

  • Assist existing and new clients in tailoring P&C Solutions proposition and lead co-creation;
  • Support Head of Client Solutions UK&Ireland and other colleagues to delivery business pipeline and business plan
  • Secure resources within the organisation and project manage the delivery;
  • Drive knowledge sharing and learning from past and existing projects; and
  • Encourage and support iterative and collaborative development.

 

Solutions Development

 

  • Contribute to product development endeavors within UK&Ireland, working and coordinating closely with all internal functions
  • Facilitate and take part in developing local and regional solutions based on client’s needs and market trends
  • Research and present market trends and changing client needs

 

About The Team

 

You will report to Head of Client Solutions UK&Ireland and work closely together with the UK Market Executive (ME) team and number of other stakeholders. You will also liaise with the Global P&C Solutions team.


About you

 

  • A minimum of 5 years in Product Development, Sales, Business Development, Strategy, Underwriting or another related function in non-life (re-)insurance, broker or consultancy.
  • A sales track record and a successful negotiator, comfortable interacting effectively across all levels including C-suite.
  • Passion for handling large deals and projects and delivering in virtual teams with a can-do attitude.
  • A wide network with key partners like product managers, underwriters and other insurance professionals.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
