About the team and the role

We are looking for you if you are a results-oriented and client centric individual with a real passion for analytics and technology. You will work with colleagues from various countries across different locations who deliver our analytics offering to our clients in UK/I and other regions. Organizationally, you will report into the P&C Solutions central team in Zurich but be part of a wider Solutions community with relationships in EMEA and globally.


As Senior P&C Analytics Manager your main responsibilities will involve:


  • Identify and understand the needs, priorities and strategies of our clients in UK and Ireland
  • Build up of a strong and sustainable pipeline of P&C Analytics engagements with clients for UK/I and beyond.
  • Leverage advanced analytics and perform quantitative analyses to support and consult our clients on their key priorities
  • Project management along the delivery of analytics / strategy consulting engagements with clients
  • Develop new solutions where we have white spots in our offering today
  • Build-up and foster sustainable relationships with various internal partners (client markets, underwriting, P&C business management, business development, group functions and IT) and our clients to understand the business strategy and to become a trusted partner in the field of data analytics.
  • Independently assess and drive client analytics projects from inception to completion, work hand-in-hand with client markets to originate new engagements
  • Work hands-on in collaboration with a cross-functional team on analytics engagements, from design to prototype to productive implementation.
  • Apply analytical methods and algorithms to build data products that streamline the process from data collection to insight generation for various insurance business problems
  • Drive innovation, identify relevant industry/technology trends and thus ensure further development of Swiss Re's analytics capabilities and solutions offering to our clients.

Your skills profile

  • Good knowledge of the UK/I primary insurance market (P&C lines of business), having worked for an insurance, broker, consulting or analytics company.
  • Excellent client facing and consulting skills as well as experience in running client projects while working with cross-functional and/or virtual teams
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills, business approach, can-do attitude and ability to assimilate complex information
  • Knowledge and demonstrated expertise in machine learning concepts and analytics. Expertise in statistical tools and programming languages like python, R, relational databases and SQL, Tableau, MS PowerBI.
  • Experience in software development.
  • Advanced degree and education with quantitative background (computer science, natural sciences, applied mathematics / statistics, engineering, econometrics)
  • Flexibility to travel
