About the Role

 

Are you interested in leading the L&H Reinsurance's efforts in fine-tuning, implementing and executing our bold data strategy globally working with and through multiple teams in L&H Reinsurance? We offer a dynamic role which will cover in-house, client and external data streams and act as focal points for all data projects.

 

Initial key tasks will be:

  • Build the L&H data strategy, aligning with Group and across regions
  • Proactively challenge the L&H data ambitions and strategies within the regions and create coordination with Global data strategy
  • Build roadmap to execute on L&H data strategy
  • Focus on delivery against data vision for L&H, driven by client priorities, and aligned with RE and Group data strategy
  • Create library of existing data sources for L&H Re and investigate new data sources to align with L&H data strategy
  • Prioritise data needs of L&H Re based on concrete business cases, with a strong client focus
  • Develop a framework to approximate value of data
  • Align L&H Re data strategy with Group projects and initiatives
  • Advance data analysis capabilities within L&H Re in line with the data strategy
  • Implement the data governance structure for L&H, aligning with Group and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with Group functions e.g. DSA to deliver data strategy
  • Coordinate with regions to sell solutions related to data strategies

 

About the Team

 

In L&H Solutions you will join a highly motivated management team, work across our L&H Community of over 1000 colleagues, communicate regularly with key senior partners and build transparency in steering our data efforts.
 

About You

 

  • Strong global and multi-disciplinary expertise (Origination/Underwriting/Business Management) across L&H risks, minimum 10 years of relevant experience
  • Strong background in defining and delivering data strategies
  • Ability to understand and link value of data to solutions that solve client problems
  • Ability to understand power of broader data sources to support L&H business
  • Ability to develop strategic frameworks and break them down into actionable tasks and projects
  • Outstanding analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to understand how technology and data platforms can be used to deliver the data strategy
  • Ability to understand data scientist needs to tackle business related data problems
  • Strong decision-making skills and flexibility to adapt to changes
  • Outstanding level of collaboration skills, exceptional teammate and ability to establish trust and credibility with internal and external stakeholders
  • Results orientation – clear track record of execution and strong communication skills
  • College/university degree or equivalent
  • Ability to travel moderately for business needs
