About the Role


The objective of this role is to manage and lead large and complex distribution partner onboarding projects throughout various European markets, with a clear focus on Spain. Together with our client manager, you will lead the client and our internal team from requirement definition through implementation, testing and internal approvals to successful and timely go-live. Clients or distribution partners that you will be working with include brokers, insurers, online aggregators and other direct players. 

This role requires a large amount of independence, leadership and ability to work in a constantly changing environment. You will have a large amount of responsibility, internal and client exposure, little "business as usual" and significant possibilities to grow.

This role will require some, but not large amounts of travel.

Responsibilities include:


Project manage and lead cross functional, decentralized project teams from proposition design through internal approvals to go-live. Your main responsibility to deliver the operational, technical and commercial onboardings of new distribution partners.

  • Project manage key strategic initiatives to enable iptiQ's business growth.
  • Own and deliver sign-off procedures and documents such as board presentations and referral documents.

iptiQ is a start-up unit within Swiss Re, established to deliver innovative protection solutions sold directly to consumers. Our team delivers the coordination, infrastructure and competences that are key to driving forward this new business, while working closely with our mother company. About You


  • You are not just a living project plan, but understand, challenge, and independently drive the different workstreams and functions in your team, showing true leadership.
  • You are passionate about driving operational and technological excellence, but also understand the key commercial objectives with our partners that drive our proposition. 
  • You have attention to detail, without losing sight of the big picture. You know when to shift from one to the other – when problems come as technical complexities and when they come as larger organisational or propositional challenges.
  • You can organize and prioritize not only your own work, but that of whole teams, including stakeholders. You know how to unblock your project – when to call a meeting with what people, when to escalate to who, when to ask for management decisions and how to guide them. 
  • You are client centric without losing sight of our own objectives. You enjoy working with business partners both on the operational and management level.
  • You have experience in both project management and the financial industry, ideally in insurance. A consulting background is a plus.
  • You are an effective communicator and speak English and Spanish fluently. Additional European language skills are a plus. 
  • You can deal positively with ambiguity and conflict.
  • You feel at ease with leaving your comfort zone and performing under pressure. iptiQ is still a growing and a changing organization. You must be able to execute, leading an international, decentralized team in a setting where standards and structures are still evolving and changing.
