Lead Workplace Engineer

About the Role

 

We are seeking a seasoned Lead Workplace Endpoints Engineer to spearhead the design, implementation, and management of our modern workplace endpoint infrastructure. This senior role demands extensive experience in unified management systems, modern workplace architectures, Security Service Edge (SSE), cloud-based managed workstations, and contemporary cybersecurity and compliance practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Intune Suite, Zscaler, Virtual Workplace and advanced scripting is essential.  
 
Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Endpoint Management: Lead the development and integration of new features, products, and services for managed Microsoft Windows 11-based workplaces, both Virtual and Physical. 
  • Architecture Design: Plan, design, and implement endpoint management architecture, focusing on modern workplace solutions and cloud-based managed workstations. 
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure endpoint security aligns with industry standards and compliance requirements, incorporating Security Service Edge (SSE) and Zero Trust principles. 
  • Automation: Develop and support automation processes for managing secure environments, utilizing scripting and other automation tools. 
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Act as a Level 4 support for the team, providing expert troubleshooting and guidance without on-call duties.

About you:  
 

Experience: Minimum of 10 years managing configuration of Windows desktops in secure environments. 

 

Education: University degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or a related field. 

 

Technical Skills: 

  • Proficiency in networking and operating systems. 
  • Expertise in endpoint security including Zero Trust architecture principles 
  • Experience with scripting deployments and configurations on Windows using PowerShell, Group Policies, and Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Configuration Manager and/or Intune). 
  • Familiarity with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop, Microsoft Azure DevOps, Azure AD, and Microsoft 365 app integrations is beneficial. 

 

Soft Skills: 

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. 
  • Interest in automating solutions to complex problems. 
  • Good communication skills at all levels of the organization. 
  • Self-starter with the ability to solve problems individually or with peer assistance. 
  • Experience in a global, multinational enterprise, preferably in the insurance and financial sector. 
  • Open-mindedness and willingness to adapt, grow, and learn with evolving requirements. 
  • Experience working in agile SCRUM methodology is a plus. 

 

Language Skills: 

  • Strong English language skills; German language skills would be a plus. 
  • Eligibility: Eligible to work in Spain.

For Spain, the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 59,000] and [EUR 98,000] (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
  • the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.

 

In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range.

 

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
