Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst (Hybrid option)

Join a team of cybersecurity professionals and help Swiss Re to fulfil its mission in making the world more resilient. As the Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst, you'll lead the analysis of threat landscapes and associated risks – strengthening Swiss Re's cyber defence posture by detecting, tracking, and preventing current and emerging cyber threats. What's more, you'll be working in a hybrid setup, perfectly balancing work from home and the office premises.

About the team

The Security Team is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk and compliance. We define and advance the company's security strategy. As a part of the Security Team, the Threats & Insights squad gains further insights from internal and external sources to protect Swiss Re by providing threat intelligence and threat hunting. We're looking for an experienced analyst who'll help us strengthen Swiss Re's defence posture by detecting, analysing, and tracking emerging threats – transforming them into intelligence products.

In your role, you will…


  • Be someone who believes in continuous innovation, is curious and relentless in finding a better way every day

  • Support customers with defining intelligence requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables

  • Real-time monitoring of relevant sources to gather information on cyber threats

  • Analyse data to uncover patterns and hidden threats

  • Produce accurate and defendable strategic intelligence products

  • Produce timely and relevant tactical and operational intelligence for other cyber teams

  • Detect and analyse cyber threat activities connected to advanced threats

  • Research emerging threats, identify, and track relevant threats that pose risk to Swiss Re

  • Respond to requests for information (RFI) on cyber topics

Your qualifications

  • Passion, drive and a belief in the value of threat analysis as an enabler of business performance

  • Analytical mind with the ability to perform technical data analysis (SQL and Python)

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the financial sector

  • Good understanding of concepts and processes in incident response, vulnerability assessments, red and purple teaming, digital forensics, and malware analysis (background in any of these is a strong plus)

  • Experience with structured analytic techniques in complex corporate environments

  • A high level of integrity, result-oriented approach, and composure under pressure

  • Strong communication, influencing, and collaboration skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English

  • Advanced University degree (or comparable education/experience)

  • Knowledge of geopolitical and cyber threat topics

  • Knowledge of other languages is beneficial
