Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
Join a team of cybersecurity professionals and help Swiss Re to fulfil its mission in making the world more resilient. As the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll design and implement QA practices that cover strategy, automation, and execution as well as non-functional testing, and contribute to making the solution end-to-end successful as part of a DevOps team. What's more, you'll be working in a hybrid setup, perfectly balancing work from home and the office premises.
About the team
The Security Team is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk and compliance. We define and advance the company's security strategy. As a part of the Security Team, the Workforce Identity and Access Management (WIAM) team designs, implements, rolls out, and operates solutions for managing user identities and access rights across the Swiss Re IT landscape.
We're looking for a senior QA professional to design and realise functional and non-functional testing of our IT services and respective service components. You should be a person with a proactive mindset who enjoys the opportunity to shape something new. Does this sound like you? Come join us!
In your role, you will…
- Implement quality assurance measures throughout the complete DevOps life cycle, including test strategy
- Implement test automation
- Plan and lead E2E testing
- Test specific component against requirements such as performance, load, reliability, and availability
- Collaborate with our DevOps & Reliability Centre of Excellence
- Contribute to the further development of our service and system health monitoring
- Contribute to Swiss Re's Healthy and transparent risk culture where everyone engages in continuous risk accountability activities.
Your qualifications

What we need from you
- Passion, drive, and a belief in the value of QA to make solutions end-to-end successful
- 8+ years of relevant work experience
- Technical experience & senior-level skills in software testing and test automation
- Solid experience in automated testing of modern web applications and REST APIs
- Be someone who believes in continuous innovation, is curious and relentless in finding a better way everyday
- Good communication skills in spoken and written English
Nice-to-have
- Experience with complex projects and/or large organisations
- Experience in testing integrations to diverse external systems
- Proficiency in system engineering or administration, networking, IT infrastructure
- Experience with agile projects and DevOps
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a comparable field
For Spain, the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 60,000] and [EUR 100,000] (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
