About the team

 

The Standard team has been established to bring simplicity and efficiency to our clients, intermediaries and colleagues. We believe that by creating standard products, we can meet clients' and intermediaries' needs better, while also enabling true portfolio underwriting.

  • Customers will experience products that are consistent, easier to understand, and reliable.

  • Intermediaries will experience a more reliable, predictable underwriting process that is easier to work with.

About you

 

We’re looking for a tech-savvy, client-facing operations enthusiast to be part of a dynamic, empowered, and high energy team. Someone who has worked in a commercial insurance business and is customer focused and passionate and energised by using innovative-tech solutions to make insurance cool.

 

This role is perfect for if you have/are -

  • Minimum of 3 years ' experience in commercial insurance either as underwriting support or insurance broker.

  • Positive 'can do' attitude with strong customer focus and service orientation

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to build and maintain effective working relations internally and externally at various levels

  • Tech savvy with the ability to adopt, utilize and promote tech driven solutions

  • Multitasker and detail oriented with great analytical skills.

  • Ability to cope with changes in tasks and priorities.

  • Enjoy the start-up life and will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic customer focused environment!

  • Take pride in the results of your work!

  • Knowledge and understanding of P&C commercial insurance principles and practices an advantage.

 

About the role

 

  • Work as an integral part of the team to partner and assist with underwriting submissions, MTA's and renewals.

  • To support the Underwriting team with renewal package preparation (deal analysis of

  • renewal accounts) and endorsement triaging and preparation

  • To prepare and issue documents (binders, policies, endorsements and certificates) to our customers

  • To work with our centralised Technical Accounting team to follow up on outstanding premium positions and broker queries.

  • Be on the front lines and own and resolve broker and customer-facing issue's while delivering a proactive and exceptional experience.

  • Collaborate with brokers to ensure full data requirements received on new business, MTA's and renewals.

  • Working directly with external contacts to generate and retain customers

  • Promoting our products and services and being the go-to person for your partners

  • Develop a deep knowledge of processes, system touch-points, areas for potential defects, areas for future improvements and become subject-matter-experts.

  • Quality control, monitor, and drive submission handling to triage and all compliance and clearing related activities on the technology platforms.

  • Work diligently to make our processes better, faster, and more efficient!

  • Act as referral point for junior team members.
