About the role


At Swiss Re we are building a Risk Data & Service Platform (RDS) with an aim to deliver outstanding risk insights and services to our customers based on risk data and advanced analytics to make corporates and ultimately the world more resilient. In this context we are looking for an outstanding strategic and entrepreneurial thinker to join a cross functional team ensuring growth and success as the Business Development Analyst.

The Business Development Analyst will work closely with the Head Platform Proposition and the Delivery Lead in building the required customer experience and establishing the right governance and operations in close partnership with Swiss Re Group functions.

As a Business Development Analyst, you will be advancing the build-up, growth, and success of the platform and service offering:


  • Ensure consistent and attractive value proposition for clients and partners and support the creation of the right communication materials
  • Define standard frameworks (for e.g. commercials, legal, compliance etc.) to enable onboarding of clients and partners on to the platform
  • Define target operating model and underlying assumptions on volumes
  • Determine business requirements and build-up necessary operational processes and systems in line with roll-out plan and client and partner traction
  • Coordinate with legal to determine the required legal set-up per market and detail requirements from other perspectives (finance, tax, compliance etc.)
  • Plan and implement legal entity structure with local teams and group functions  
  • Work closely with legal, compliance and risk management to identify, assess and mitigate risks associated with current stage of the business
  • Drive the execution of risk mitigation actions and document status
  • Scan and analyse market developments and trends and derive relevant conclusions and insights for platform and service development and positioning
  • Solve challenges with strong business, commercial and financial acumen
  • Take ownership of topics, proactively manage tasks and drive execution incl. alignment with required stakeholders
  • Deliver analytically rigorous insights to support strategic direction of platform and product areas

  • Fluent in English
  • 1-2 years’ experience in corporate development, private equity, venture capital and / or management consulting is a plus
