Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Latin America (CorSo LatAm) is looking for a Centre of Excellence (CoE) Associate who supports cross-functional end-to-end projects that deal with operational efficiency, process improvement and gains and provides insights through reporting and analytics.


The focus of this role is to drive operational excellence by identifying, structuring, and supporting initiatives backed-up by strong data analysis and analytical insights.  Topics range across resolving operational issues, providing insights through reports and data analysis, gather ideas and business needs for system improvements, project support operational initiatives, like productivity improvement and simplification.  The role will play a crucial part in ensuring that Operations enables the growth in LatAm in a smart and sustainable way.  In addition, the CoE Associate will be required to build strong relationships within the broader CorSo community and will need basic relevant insurance content knowledge as well as a sound understanding of the end-to-end impact of operation on the value chain.  You will actively contribute to the overall management and delivery of LatAm Operations by identifying and driving discussions with cross-functional peers to gather business input, ensure buy-in to change, solution proposals, reports on, and present their deliverables to stakeholders.


About the Role

Operational excellence

  • A process associate - of the insurance value chain with a basic background in direct insurance domain (preferred)
  • Point of contact for the cross-functional team as well as regional initiatives projects
  • Drives alignment/integration across the region

Reporting and data analysis

  • Run ad-hoc reports to give business insights and management information
  • Provide best course of action based on data analysis and provide insights
  • Collaborate with experts on the overall improvements to the reporting framework


Process documentation and improvement

  • Collaborate with experts in the process design sessions with the Business Functions.
  • Ensure right controls and control framework and quality framework is in place for the effectiveness of a process


Change implementation

  • Promote a process improvement mindset to ensure the promotion of process excellence
  • Guide the organization in managing the change related to the implementation of process improvements
  • Collaborate in the structure and deliver creative solutions whilst remaining practical
  • Provide transparency on progress by actively communicating with all involved stakeholders as appropriate


Drive Operational efficiency

  • Ability to simplify process, document and execute continuous improvement initiatives
  • Align and standardize process across regions in LatAm


About You

You should have a high tolerance of ambiguity, and a proven track record of data analysis, structuring problems and assessing need; identifying and triggering decision/escalation paths as needed and driving tasks to completion, with a high degree of independence.  Your ability to facilitate different levels of conversations, and as a strong communicator will help you in initiating and orchestrating teamwork, distil and present topics accordingly and collaborate across all function in the region.  Key to success is excellent organizational and analytical skills coupled with flexibility to adapt priorities.  You enjoy problem solving, building up own knowledge and expertise in a topic systematically, gathering facts and building consensus.



  • Bachelor's degree in Actuary, Finance, Business Administration or related field
  • Fundamental understanding of the non-life insurance core processes as well as the products and services offered to our clients (desired)
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant experience - Insurance Industry market (desired)
  • Strong analytical skills and proficient with Excel
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint presentations
  • Continuous improvement mindset, analytical in nature with ability to develop alternative solutions to problems and select the optimal solution.  Ability to translate ideas into clear and consistent priorities as well as an easy to understand story line
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Strong customer focus with ability to manage conflict
  • Strong organizing and structuring skills with an attention to details
  • Passionate to explore new ways and challenge the status quo by continually seeking improvement opportunities, e.g. improve processes and reduce duplications
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, Portuguese a plus



  • Primary Lead insurance exposure and knowledge on International Business will be an asset
