Abou the team
The Claims Legal Enablement team leverages value and buying power across Swiss Re Group, by supporting business units with the onboarding of claims providers (legal firms, loss adjusters and other claims service providers). Claims Legal Enablement works with its peer team Third Party Enablement to ensure Outsourcing arrangements for External Claims Service Providers are appropriately governed (identified, triaged, assessed, including appropriate due diligence, contract wordings and ongoing support with governance and oversight).
The Claims Legal Enablement team is part of the Global Business Solutions (GBS) division, focusing on a strong partnership with Business Units and Group Functions.
About the role
The job holder will act primarily as administrator of the legal services e-billing platform, managing legal invoices incurred by Swiss Re Reinsurance and Corporate Solutions claims organizations globally. The job holder serves as the point of escalation for issues related within the platform for claims providers and claims users. The job holder is on charge of ensure processing and payment of invoices, monitoring the interfaces between the platform and additional systems. The job holder is responsible for the user access control and infrastructure settings within the platform. The job holder leads process improvement and approved initiatives that impact the platform functionality. In addition, the job holder prepares and provides training to the claims users periodically and as needed for new functionalities.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team as we will upgrade/change the platform in 2025 and the job holder will play a key role in this implementation.
- Monitors and ensures systematic and timely processing of more than 35,000 outside counsel invoices annually amounting to more than $100 Million in spend on over 6000 open claim related legal matters
- Manages approved projects for system changes impacting the e-billing platform functionality and/or integration with new or updated claim systems
- Manages process improvement initiatives to simplify approach to processing claim related outside counsel invoices
- Acts as point of escalation for Swiss Re and claims providers for system and process issues.
- Responsible for preparing and delivering training as needed and communicating regularly with more than 300 end users globally.
- Participates in regular and recurring review sessions with the e-billing account personnel, Information Technology, Claims Operations to ensure payment process, system feeds, matter processing and vendor maintenance are occurring as needed to ensure proper control.
- Maintains infrastructure settings in the e-billing platform production and test environments which include work area maintenance, invoice processing rules, user access management, user roles and authority limits.
