About the team

We are the Americas Sourcing Team, who are accountable for end-to-end sourcing activities across all categories of spend cross-divisionally in our region. Our team carries on Regional Strategy in alignment with global Category Strategies.  We execute the plan to deliver value, improve quality, optimize cost and mitigate risk in the supply chain, along with our business partners and through established Sourcing networks.

This position has a dotted reporting line to our Operations Team, responsible for ensuring the delivery of Global Sourcing goals and strategies.

You will run standard ways of working through but not limited to activities such as:

  • Procurement Intelligence (External Data)
  • Analytics (Internal Data)
  • eSourcing
  • RFX
  • Contract Management
  • Due diligence

We expect you to be responsible for anticipating customer´s needs when building any solutions, managing tools or running procedures, as well as driving continual improvement in our team applying the concept of Train-Build-Run-Embed.

You will also be accountable for the Hub delivery of sourcing transactional activities. You will coordinate and manage tasks as well as work closely with functional reports to achieve all deadlines relating to:

  • Completing sourcing transactional execution activities.
  • Implementing customer service throughout end-to-end Source-to-pay process while taking advantage of ContactOne for 1st level support and transactional execution team for 2nd level support.
  • Improving Sourcing User Experience through customer service delivery to user communities including business partners, system users and vendors.

We need you to get along closely with organizational leaders of functional reports based in other locations and contribute to developing the Regional Sourcing and Sourcing Operations network while ensuring effective collaboration across Global Sourcing.

You, as leader, will manage the performance of all functional reports while supporting them in their career and professional development.

About you

  • You have a bachelor’s degree at a minimum in fields such as business administration, finance, law or a scientific or technical field. Strong preference for CIPS or similar professional qualification.
  • Ideally, you have five years of Sourcing/Procurement experience.
  • You possess excellent written and oral English language skills.
  • You have very good comprehension of MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, OneNote).
  • You are reliable and courageous in your ability to handle matters independently and have excellent problem-solving skills.
  • You are highly motivated team worker who seeks for new ways how to make a difference.
  • With your excellent organizational and time management skills, you can handle numerous priorities at a time and meet deadlines.
  • You are keen to drive your continual skills development.
  • You demonstrate behaviors consistent with Swiss Re personal imperatives focused on driving sustainable performance, challenging the status quo while bringing new ideas as well as taking personal accountability.
