About the Role:

Are you passionate about the various lines of business and the full Reinsurance value chain? Are you self-motivated, ambitious and passionate about Governance topics? Are you willing to demonstrate performance culture in your daily activities?

If yes, then we have an opportunity for you in our global Reinsurance Governance team!

In this role, your main responsibility is to act as first point of contact for your business partners related to all their operational, Compliance and financial risk topics. This means working closely with business partners across the process value chain to continuously improve their risk and compliance framework!

Your main activities in particular:

  • You maintain and improve the risk control framework of Reinsurance Property and Casualty businesses in Americas.
  • You partner with business leaders to maintain a robust risk and control framework that is fit for purpose now and in the future.
  • You express your concerns openly and in a balanced fashion.
  • You drive identification of any potential gaps in controls and identification of areas for improvement while ensuring consistency between the regions and teams (global perspective).
  • You lead governance workstreams of key group projects related to process improvements
  • You stay calm, focused and resilient in difficult times, providing partners with clarity on a way-forward.
  • You collaborate with all the assurance functions to drive greater value for the 1st line while ensuring a good governance framework.
  • You use data analytics and visualizations to highlight concerns and for monitoring.

About the Team:

The Reinsurance Governance Team sits under Reinsurance Center. The team is diverse, global and delivers on both lines of business (P&C and L&H) and regional objectives. Its mission is to be the first port of call for the Reinsurance business partners regarding operational risk management, compliance and audit topics. It is positioned to support and educate the business teams on all governance related matters. As dedicated governance specialists with a good understanding of the business processes, it is a true partner for the teams it supports.

About You:

  • Insurance/reinsurance operational experience of 5 years or more, good P&C expertise is an asset
  • Deep knowledge of three lines of defense concept
  • Ability to deal positively with ambiguity and many diverse topics
  • A strong sense of ownership for timely and high-quality delivery with customer focus
  • Outstanding teammate with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in leading projects and change initiatives
  • University degree or equivalent business experience
  • Fluent in Spanish and English; proficiency in other languages (e.g., Portuguese) is an advantage
