About the role

As a Compliance Officer, you will have an outstanding and great opportunity to be a trusted, strategic partner to the iptiQ EMEA Property & Casualty team by providing timely, practical and high quality compliance advice across the entire primary insurance value chain.


You will work closely with the business to help deliver on the iptiQ vision by ensuring Compliance by Design across our products, propositions and partnerships. Key responsibilities will include:

  • to support the development and run of compliant products and propositions in close interaction with business functions
  • to develop and ensure appropriate implementation of a robust Compliance Programme for the iptiQ EMEA Property and Casualty business taking business model specific requirements into account, including maintenance of Compliance Risk frameworks in coordination with Group Compliance and carrying out compliance training activities
  • supporting Group Compliance in the carrying out of Compliance assurance activities in respect of the iptiQ EMEA Property and Casualty business
  • supporting Division Legal and Compliance key initiatives and advancing specific priorities relevant to the iptiQ EMEA Property and Casualty business
  • supporting the internal governance processes to ensure that compliance risks are appropriately flagged and raised
  • support in providing relevant reporting to regulatory/competent authorities as appropriate
  • identification/monitoring of all Compliance Risks, in particular data protection and conduct risks in order to undertake ongoing risk assessments
  • propose changes/improvements to control standards, mitigation strategies, policies and processes,
  • assess possible impact of any changes in the EU/local legal and regulatory environment
  • engaging and collaborating with other specialist functions including Legal and Risk Management to ensure the provision of consistent advice
  • providing end to end compliance support relating to both the on-boarding of new partners and the management of existing partners

About you

  • Compliance professional with 3+ years experience in the primary Non-Life insurance market in Italy, other EMEA jurisdictions a plus
  • Previous experience of regulatory issues in respect of data protection and conduct risk highly preferred
  • Ability to prioritise and work in a highly dynamic and changing insure tech environment
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to provide pragmatic guidance on compliance risks
  • Ability to take initiative and take accountability with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Fluent in English and Italian, other languages a plus
