About the Role
We are looking for an intern (m/f/x) who will support our risk engineers in respect of client service and report distribution in our markets in Benelux, France, Germany, UK and South Africa:

  • Publishing Market reports out of our Risk Engineering database, incl. re-formatting, proof-reading and finalizing, transmitting market reports to brokers and customers
  • Loss prevention recommendation follow-up by acting as an "extended-arm" of the Client Engagement team for recommendations follow-up, setting clear priorities and dates, conduct telephone follow-ups with customers. Record the findings and present these to the Client Engagement Team
  • Portfolio Engineering Coordination by providing monthly updates of RES EMEA portfolio ensuring data quality and alignment of the various data bases. Closely work with the RES EMEA Head to agree on status reports, data quality and activity monitoring. Develop into the key contact for Underwriters and Risk Engineers regrading functionality, status and capabilities of the RES EMEA tool database
  • You pro-actively partner with Risk Engineers by identifying areas of improvement to remove complexity, developing suggestions where to standardize and implement measurable efficiency gains

About the Team
From operational to natural hazards, we have the hands-on experience to understand and mitigate risks. We help bring focus to property loss prevention and risk management practice and support our clients' needs. In doing so, we employ leading risk engineering tools. We also closely collaborate with underwriters to improve the insurability of industrial property risks. As a member of our global Risk Engineering Services (RES) community, you will be fully embedded in the EMEA team.
About You
This position requires strong language and analytical as well as very good service skills. Candidates must speak fluent German and English, candidates who additionally speak fluent French strongly improve their chances. You are in the final stages of your bachelor studies or already started your master studies. You should be very familiar with MS Office applications and have an interest in dealing with internal IT applications. We are open to business and industrial students or graduates who bring a technical mindset to work in a risk engineering environment.
Duration of the internship: 6 months, starting July 2020

Working time: 38 hours per week.
