About the Role


We are looking for a working student (m/f/x) who will support our risk engineers in respect of client service, report distribution and administration in our markets in Benelux, France, Germany, UK, Italy, Spain, Nordics, Switzerland and South Africa:

  • Portfolio Engineering Coordination by providing monthly updates of the RES EMEA portfolio ensuring data quality and alignment of the various databases; closely work with the RES EMEA Head and EMEA Portfolio Engineers to agree on status reports, data quality and activity monitoring; develop into the key contact for Underwriters and Risk Engineers regrading functionality, status and capabilities of the RES EMEA tool database
  • Loss prevention recommendation follow-up by acting as an "extended-arm" of the Client Engagement team for recommendations follow-up, setting clear priorities and dates; record the findings and present these to the Client Engagement Team
  • You pro-actively partner with Risk Engineers and other stakeholders by identifying areas of improvement to remove complexity, developing suggestions where to standardise and implement measurable efficiency gains
  • Publishing Market reports out of our Risk Engineering database, incl. re-formatting, proof-reading and finalising, transmitting market reports to brokers and customers


About the Team


From operational to natural hazards, we have the hands-on experience to understand and mitigate risks. We help bring focus to property loss prevention and risk management practice and support our clients' needs. In doing so, we employ leading risk engineering tools. We also closely collaborate with underwriters to improve the insurability of industrial property risks. As a member of our global Risk Engineering Services (RES) community, you will be fully embedded in the RES EMEA team.


About You


This position requires strong language and excellent service skills. Candidates should be very structured and self-organised with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and the ability for strategic thinking. Candidates must speak fluent German and English, French as an additional language is a plus but not a must for this position. You are in the final stages of your bachelor studies or already started your master studies. You should be very familiar with MS Office software with very good skills in MS Excel and have an interest in dealing with internal IT applications. We are open to business and industrial students who bring a technical mindset to work in a risk engineering environment.


This position is also available as internship (full-time).


Duration of the position: 6 months, starting soonest
Working time: max. 20 hours per week
