About the Role

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Developer to join our Casualty Underwriting teams in Zurich and Munich.
 
This position is mainly responsible for the development of primary insurance products in the casualty lines of business, in line with our strategy to bring innovative solutions to our clients. Our focus is to grow the SME and Mid-Corp space and your deep expertise in these segments is of value.
 
Responsibilities include:

 

  • Product and ideally tariff development process from idea generation to commercialization and post binding activities. You will achieve client centric solutions through your deep understanding of the consumer's point of view and passion about using your combined technical, innovation and customer service acumen
  • Build a portfolio of new insurance products and solutions tailored to the needs of the end consumer and our clients
  • In collaboration with legal and compliance, ensure that the new solutions meet standards and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses of insurance markets, innovative solutions and what competitors are doing in this space
  • Be a key contact for our clients and brokers and their innovation teams.

 

About the Team

 

You will join an ambitious team of Casualty underwriters and in conjunction with our Client Management, Solutions and Transactions team, you will contribute to the plan, objectives and initiatives.
 
About You

 

  • With extensive experience in Casualty insurance underwriting, you know where the client needs are, and you can co-create innovative casualty products with our broad client base. This goes along with business development work in less mature liability markets in EMEA.
  • You are experienced in Commercial Casualty Insurance and you bring deep knowhow of product development for small and medium sized enterprises in EMEA.
  • You are experienced in leveraging new technologies (i.e. platforms etc) and integrate them into your solutions offering.
  • Project Management skills will help you to be successful in this role
  • Sound analytic skills demonstrated through an understanding of underwriting concepts and contract wording are a plus and hence technical and legal knowledge is a pre-requisite.
  • You show outstanding problem-solving attitude and a creative approach.
  • With strong interpersonal skills, you are a change agent who inspires others, coaches effectively and promotes teamwork.
  • Self-aware, you establish trust through open, transparent communication and empower others via effective knowledge sharing.
  • University degree or equivalent preferred.
