Crisis Management Underwriting Intern

About the role

  • Individual will work with Underwriting to become entrenched in the everyday Underwriting process including portfolio management. By the end of the internship the individuals will have a thorough understanding of the Crisis Management Underwriting including food contamination and product recall inclusive of all the different types of occupations available to them in the future. 

 

About the team

  • The Crisis Management team is a writer of food contamination and product recall products. The team has broker partners throughout United States, Canada and London which they work with to obtain business.  The underwriting team also collaborates with actuarial, claims, legal, risk engineering, products underwriter and underwriting analysts.

 

About you (requirements)

  • Someone in a Bachelors or Master's program majoring in Business, Insurance, Mathematics, or Actuarial Sciences.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills

    • Knows how to produce functions and macros

  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail.

  • Strong operational skills

  • Works well with a team and independently

  • Consistent in their daily routine
