The Documentation & Derivatives (D&D) team sits in the Asset Management arm of Swiss Re.  The D&D team is seeking dynamic professionals who will have the opportunity to interact with our Global team of multiple internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure proper trade representation, guide documentation to completion, and oversee the regulatory reporting process among the different jurisdictions that Swiss Re operates in. 


On a daily basis our Analyst will have an opportunity to collaborate with global and passionate professionals on the Trading Desks, Technology, Legal, Middle Office, Compliance, Reconciliations and external counterparties in order to resolve issues and queries or drive our processes forward.

They will interact with multiple trading desks including Rates, Credit, Treasury, Weather Derivatives, Insurance Linked Securities, etc.

The Analyst will assist Swiss Re's Asset Management Unit in ensuring that proper processes and procedures are executed successfully so that the group is controlled and efficient from both a personnel and processing perspective.

They will also drive meaningful change by collaborating with different areas in order to improve processes, spotting inefficiencies, maintaining an open culture, and continuing to educate themselves on the firm, clients, and products we support.

Additionally, they will also assist Asset Management in helping maintain our strong control framework and our open culture in raising and escalating issues.

Your Job:

  • Keen eye for detail and data interpretation in providing daily operational support on OTC and Listed derivative for various trading desks
  • Co-ordinating internally and externally to ensure Electronic and Paper trade confirmations are executed in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with team members to review assignments, daily tasks and project progress to recognize successes and help resolve or advance issues
  • Lead all aspects of the regulatory reporting of derivatives across different jurisdictions
  • Monitoring of daily listed trading activity across all Futures Clearing Merchants
  • Provide insight of trading activity through reports and ad-hoc analysis of data
  • Collaborate and build relationships with our colleagues from different teams to tackle issues and provide better solutions for our group
  • Involvement in new or ongoing projects driven by Asset Management
  • Ability to closely collaborate with Technology to develop and improve our understanding and representation of underlying data

Preferred Experience and Skills:


  • College Degree - BA, BS and minimum 3 yrs experience in Operations or similar role
  • Knowledge of OTC and Listed products
  • Knowledge of OTC regulations (Dodd-Frank, EMIR & FinfraG) and ISDA protocols
  • Takes initiative, assess and evaluate operational framework and make recommendations to improve processes and achieve operational excellence
  • Organizational and prioritization skills, and track record of efficiency gains
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Clear interpersonal skills and message delivery at different levels
  • Works well independently and as part of a team, is able to collaborate well under pressure
  • Flexibility and desire to continuous learning
  • Experience with derivative booking systems, as well as Markitwire, DTCC/DS Match, Markit Trade Manager (MTM)
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint
