About the role

As Lead Analytics, P&C IT, you will be responsible for leading the Analytics team within P&C Solutions IT and successfully defining, delivering and managing our P&C Analytics solutions portfolio.  Are you eager to have responsibility for delivering high quality and profitable solutions for (new) clients?  If you are a natural talent in client retention and development, leadership of new business pitches and team management, then consider joining us. The role has the following key responsibilities:

  • Take overall responsibility for the successful and timely delivery of projects and ongoing operations of P&C Analytics with respective delivery DevOps teams reporting to you.
  • Engage in client meetings including C-Suite level in terms of sales and technical expertise.
  • Review progress of all projects against the agreed strategy and project brief and when necessary identify and take steps to ensure that all agreed objectives are achieved
  • Ensure that the teams implement Q&A and methodologies in Software Engineering and Operations.
  • Develop new digital solutions that will meet the needs of our clients
  • Develop winning value propositions and solutions together with client management, underwriting and P&C Solutions functions
  • Help the team and Swiss Re's clients to develop and deliver their digital strategy
  • Establishing a collaboration with product owners, domain specialists, business analysts, architects and engineers in the areas of user interaction and design.
  • Work with UX, product, architecture and engineering teams in delivering solutions.
  • Identify new and develop existing relationships with vendors and partners.

Property & Casualty IT is globally responsible for delivering solutions building and running Swiss Re's P&C Reinsurance business. We are diverse team of specialists who are passionate in providing state-of-the-art solutions for our P&C reinsurance business. Our primary objectives are to help Swiss Re's P&C business strengthen its sales dimension, enhance productivity, reduce the cost basis and be a key driver for achieving top and bottom line growth targets. We create a world-class platform for the P&C business to support the value chain end-to-end.

 About you

You are results-orid, you embody partnership and actively seek creative solutions to improve things. To succeed in this role, you should be an entrepreneurial self-starter with a lot of drive and positive energy. You like to run multiple projects at the same time, lead and coach delivery teams, be at the sales forefront and have a comprehensive, end-to-end delivery role. As a native problem-solver, you can navigate ambiguity and are not scared to try new things. You are a good communicator and fluent in English. You can convince clients with your expertise and your ability to market our solutions. You have graduated with a Bachelors or a Master's degree in business, computer science, insurance or equivalent. You have a passion to learn about how the business are using our solutions as well as the technical aspects of the solutions themselves. You would a great fit if you question and challenge the status quo and you are comfortable in an agile and fluid landscape.

Finally, you should possess a range of skills and the commitment to expand them. The most important skills and experience we are looking for include (but are not limited to):

 

  • Minimum of 10 years working experience in the re-/insurance industry, IT management, software delivery, business transformation, management consulting or customer service management.
  • Passionate to deliver and operate solutions for our clients in a cost-efficient, professional and customer-focused way. You have profound experience in converting business needs and opportunities into efficient and effective solutions.
  • Strong commercial mentality and business acuity
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with experience in an international context and working across different locations.
  • Great negotiation skills and ability to make convincing pitches to clients including C-Suite.
  • You like to work in a team and are an excellent networker and connector. You are at ease to effectively communicate across all levels of hierarchy.
  • You do not give up easily when facing resistance. In contrary, you are motivated by challenges and find ways to convince and influence people to get to the best outcome.
