We, the Asset Management (AM) Finance team, lead and facilitate all financial matters related to the Group’s investments, including pricing and valuation governance. We are looking to hire a manager for its Pricing Control team, where your primary responsibility is ensuring daily pricing activities are fulfilled, partnering with the business as well colleagues across Finance and Risk to ensure appropriate governance around asset valuation.

Working closely with the Head of Product Control, the AM CFO as well as colleagues within our team and across the front office and Financial Risk Management, you will gain a deep understanding of the end-to-end investment value chain, while demonstrating your pricing and valuation expertise. You will serve as the key liaison from AM Finance for day-to-day pricing and valuation matters as well as efforts to streamline existing processes.

The Pricing Control team is responsible for ensuring complete and controlled market price capture, reporting/analyzing OTTI valuation adjustments and acting as the process manager for the Pricing and Valuation committees.

About the Role:

  • Facilitate valuation committees: coordinate agenda and meeting materials across various input providers, including the IPV and front office teams, taking meeting minutes and addressing follow-up items
  • Manage annual review of pricing and valuation policies: collecting feedback from contributing teams
  • Support current impairment process: facilitating review and ensuring all impairment decisions have been appropriately recorded
  • Contribute to implementation of new impairment model as the Group transitions to IFRS
  • Work with IT team to look for opportunities to implement efficiencies to the existing pricing process
  • Responsible for reviewing and improving existing control framework to ensure valuations are appropriate
  • The role requires a strong balance of technical and presentation skills, with the ability to facilitate communication across various levels
  • A strong working knowledge of investments as well as a deep understanding of US GAAP and EVM principles as it relates to investments is essential

 

About You: 

  • 4-8 years' experience working in an asset valuation role, with exposure to equities, fixed income, derivatives and or private markets securities
  • Attention to detail and understanding of pricing within financial markets
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with a track record of exceeding expectations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain effective working relations
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, strong problem-solving skill set and results oriented
  • IFRS experience a plus
  • Knowledge of building reports & dashboards in Tableau a plus
  • Degree in Finance / Accounting related field preferred
