Compliance Officer, iptiQ EMEA

 

About the role 


As a Compliance Officer, you will have an outstanding opportunity to be a trusted, strategic partner to the iptiQ EMEA team by providing timely, practical and high-quality compliance advice across the entire primary value chain.
 

Responsibilities


You will work closely with the business to help deliver on the iptiQ vision by ensuring Compliance by Design across our products, propositions and partnerships. There will be a particular focus on the French life market, but the role can include non-life products and pan-European responsibilities. Key responsibilities will include: 
•    support the development and run of compliant products and propositions in close interaction with business functions
•    provide end to end compliance support relating to both the on-boarding of new partners and the management of existing partners
•    identification/monitoring of all Compliance Risks, in particular data protection and conduct risks in order to undertake ongoing risk assessments
•    assess possible impact of any changes in the EU/local legal and regulatory environment
•    contribute to the development and ensure appropriate implementation of, a robust Compliance Programme, including maintenance of Compliance Risk frameworks in coordination with global colleagues and the Group Compliance team and carrying out compliance training activities
•    support internal governance processes to ensure that compliance risks are appropriately flagged and raised
•    provide reporting to regulatory authorities as appropriate
•    propose changes/improvements to control standards, mitigation strategies, policies and processes,
•    engage/collaborate with other expert functions including Legal and Risk Management to ensure the provision of consistent advice

 

About the team 


As a member of the iptiQ Compliance function you will form close working relationships with the 1st line of defence to ensure compliance with regulations, standards and applicable laws whilst supporting the growth of the business and putting customers' needs at the centre of everything. We are located in branch offices across the EU. 

 

About you


•    Compliance professional with minimum 3 years' experience in the primary life and non-life insurance market in France, other EMEA jurisdictions a plus
•    Previous experience of handling regulatory issues in respect of conduct risk, data protection and anti-money laundering highly preferred
•    Ability to prioritise and work in a highly dynamic and changing insurance environment
•    Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
•    Ability to provide pragmatic guidance on compliance risk
•    Ability to take initiative and take accountability 
•    Proficient in English and French (written and verbal), other European languages a plus
