About the Team:

Our team has extensive knowledge of the local market and works closely with clients to provide tailored insurance solutions. The team is made up of professionals with financial and underwriting expertise and a wealth of experience in the Executive Risks insurance sector. Together with our teams in Zurich, Singapore and Toronto, we ensure that our clients can access our global network of experts when required.

About The Role:

We are looking for a proactive, highly-motivated and result-oriented underwriter, senior underwriter or graduate to join the Professional & Financial Services group at Corporate Solutions.

This is a position within the US public company D&O team and will be based out of our San Francisco office. As such, the focus is on working with western region brokers and insureds. The team seeks to grow both its domestic and primary international programs' businesses.

Your main tasks will be to generate new business opportunities by leveraging broker contacts, analyze and assess the technical insurability of individual risks, review cover structures, wordings and proposals, and prepare quotations. You will be encouraged to develop a detailed understanding of the client’s requirements and expectations, and to participate in discussions and negotiations with brokers and clients. Furthermore, you may contribute to project work, work in international deal teams and accept special assignments as required.

For graduates, the role would have a 12-month training phase as an Associate Underwriter before transitioning to a full underwriting position.
