About the Programme

We are looking for graduates with strong interpersonal skills, who are eager to learn and broaden their knowledge and expertise. You have a Bachelor, Master or PhD degree with up to 3 years professional experience – we invite you to apply to our graduates@swissre programme 2021.

About the role

The CEO Office Latam team supports the regional CEO and executive team, enables the CEO to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, fulfilling the executive mandate for Latin America. We have created an exciting opportunity to strengthen our talent pool and train a high potential individual within our team. The candidate will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with the highest caliber professionals in the field. This role will expand your network and provide a chance to work across several departments within the organization. This opportunity is ideal for someone with entrepreneurial skillset who is comfortable working in a dynamic, results oriented environment.


Your Responsibilities:


  • Identify, define and design solutions combining both qualitative and quantitative data. Comfortable with analytical and conceptual problem solving.
  • Gather and analyze information including but not limited to clients, competitors, products, financial results, opportunities for partnership, as well as market trends.
  • Share insights relevant to the Insurance space within the dimensions of impact, brand, audience, products and touch points (including market threats, potential opportunities, emerging risks)
  • Perform research and market intelligence in order to validate hypothesis, assess ideas and seize opportunities. Use the insights and knowledge to source new ideas
  • Bring together the competitive intelligence we receive within various areas of Swiss Re to make it easier for the team to consume
  • Prepare executive reports to Latin America leadership team compiling data from multiple sources of information.
  • Support the development of materials to be presented internally and externally related to different technical areas.


About You

You are someone who has strong problem-solving skills, is a motivated individual with an entrepreneurial mindset. You take on problems strategically in a structured way, integrating your own original and creative ideas and those of others. You communicate clearly and simply – even when dealing with ambiguity on problems and ideas – and you do so both orally and in writing. When interacting with colleagues of every level of seniority and experience, you are empathetic and sensitive, and you adjust your communication style to meet the needs of others. You will have an open-minded, intellectually curious approach to everything you do; and you are likely someone who is continually learning from a variety of sources. Outstanding command of English both spoken and written is essential, Spanish as a second language for the role is a plus. The role may require some travel, not expected to exceed 30%.


The ideal candidate will have or will build the following skills:

  • Successfully completed university degree, preferably in business, marketing or equivalent
  • Strong interest in/motivation to learn about insurance/reinsurance
  • Solid understanding of innovation, design, and new product development methodologies
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, staying abreast of competitors, client needs, technology, and future market moves
  • Innovative, showing a high degree of own initiative building ideas on top of existing concepts.
  • Team-player, willingness to contribute actively to the overall team spirit
  • Capacity to readily adapt to a changing and multifaceted environment
