About the Role

You will be the Project Manager at iptiQ China. This is a rare opportunity to join a new business unit within an established company; combining the dynamic spirit of a startup with the backing of Swiss Re's strong organization. The Project Manager will be responsible for running a diverse range of IT projects and providing essential support to the InsurTech Platform Program leading the Project Management Office resources and working closely with the Program Delivery Lead, Workstream Leads and External Vendors.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver end to end project management tasks including managing the resources, stakeholders, scope, deliverables, budget, timeline  and the overall project plan

  • Collaborate with external vendors and distribution partners during the onboarding process, and post project activities

  • Execute the detailed project plan along with other program artifacts in close collaboration with the Program Delivery Lead, Workstream Leads and External Vendor

  • Build, maintain and distribute daily program tracking and regular project reporting

  • Plan, track and coordinate internal and external resources for the project and program execution

  • Create and maintain effective relationship and communication with internal and external stakeholders

  • Organize and facilitate meetings both with internal and external stakeholders

  • Preform risk management to minimize or mitigate program risks and track and resolve issues and an efficient manner

 

About you

You Have:

  • 6+ years' experience with project-management frameworks in a software-development environment and a passion for developing unique tech solutions and platforms

  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to meet the needs of the team

  • Analytical thinking with excellent problem-solving skills, able to multi-task in a high volume, fast-pace work environment

  • A team player with a high level of self-motivation and ability to set and meet goals

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, trouble-shoot, and to meet short- and long-term deadlines

  • Ability to collaborate efficiently with internal and external stakeholders and vendors and to comfortably interact with tech and non-tech colleagues

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Chinese Mandarin is a prerequisite, and fluency in English is a must

  • Experience with different development methodologies including Agile and Waterfall and working with tracking and process management tools e.g. JIRA

  • Strong skills in MS Office

  • Competitive knowledge of insurance technology landscape a plus

  • Strong understanding of the insurance industry in China, particularly P&C market a plus
