About the role: 

  • Support the IFRS17 implementation project, system development, process flow, financial reporting by interpreting and providing feedback based on Actuarial point of view
  • Assess the actuarial data and assumption readiness for transition to IFRS17
  • Develop IFRS17 actuarial models for non-life insurance business. Execute and test the IFRS17 functional solutions against IFRS17 requirements
  • Close collaboration across IT, Finance or other parties to acquire and transform relevant product or actuarial technical knowledge for IFRS17 solutions
  • Interpret modelled results from IFRS17, contrast with China GAAP and US GAAP, and communicate to stakeholders
  • Support other tasks from the actuarial perspective in IFRS17 implementation and go-live project
  • Support for ad-hoc works

About the team:

     Act as ambassador of the Actuarial function in collaboration with various teams to support Corso China's Group and Local IFRS 17 implementation, ensure all Actuarial related IFRS 17 topics are considered and implemented

About You

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in P&C (re-)insurance industry
  • Experience and knowledge in IFRS17. Actuarial valuation and reporting experience required
  • Knowledge in statutory and regulatory environment in China. Good understanding of actuarial, accounting principles and information system. Knowledge in US GAAP or Solvency II is a plus
  • A university degree in actuarial science, accounting or related field (mathematics or statistics)
  • Strong analytics skill. Experienced in using Excel and PowerPoint. Proficient user of data analytics software, e.g. R or Python, ResQ is a plus. Knowledge in SAP FPSL is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Chinese. Fluency in English is preferred
  • Good interpersonal, planning and project management skills
  • Quick learner, attention to details, proactive in seeking out and providing information
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks accordingly
  • Have made good progress in actuarial qualification is a plus
