About the Role

The Data Governance is responsible for all regulatory data related work, developing necessary guidelines and processes for regulatory data submission and management and design regulatory data management measures. The role is Responsible for organizing, coordinating and managing all regulatory data related activities, leading all relevant functions to fulfill regulatory data standard and requirement.

 

About the Team

Overall responsibilities:
•    Establish data strategy, including target and scope, future development roadmap, and measurement criteria.
•    Build up data governance framework and clarify responsibilities of each function.
•    Works with colleagues across functions to design and implement an appropriate and compliant environment.
•    Develop data guidelines according to regulatory requirements to cover the following areas:
         - Data infrastructure

         - Data standard
         - Data protection 

         - Data quality

         - Data usage

         - Data life-cycle management
 
•    Support chair of Data Quality Governance Committee (DQGC) to organize committee meeting
•    As a key contact person to regulators, responsible for overall success of regulatory data submission
•    Monitor and communicate regulatory development
•    Provide guidance on data protection compliance in China and support business and Operations with a good understand of business.
•    Implement Group and BU's data strategy in China

 

About You

•    Bachelor's degree or above in Information, Economics, Finance or management etc.
•    Minimum of 5 years professional experience on data governance with a data science, risk management, audit or consulting background (Data governance related certification being highly desirable).
•    Good knowledge of data governance and related regulations for the insurance sector, experience with online channels and managing third party services providers being an advantage.
•    Ability to assess data compliance risks business and to propose and coordinate timely, commercially aware mitigating measures.
•    Ability to analyse data processing activities to make effective recommendations that enables the business to implement its strategy in a compliant manner
•    Good understanding of project management, keen interest in IT an advantage.
•    Good database applications knowledge on data analysis and practical report writing skill
•    Solid English writing, presentation and communication skills.
