About the Team

Building on its market leading position in reinsurance, Swiss Re through its iptiQ division is building a retail primary insurance business with insurance products sold under the brands of existing and new distribution partners with iptiQ carrying the risk. Execution of this strategy is via a B2B2C model on primarily digital platforms.
The iptiQ Division has identified Asia Pacific (APAC) as a must win region in our goal to become a global leader in digital insurance. The APAC team have started the implementation of a multi- year strategy that will seek to make Swiss Re the number one B2B2C foreign insurer in Asia. The focus will be on selected P&C and L&H risk pools and will require us to grow, significant life and non-life insurance carrier resources over the next three to five years. This forms part of a significant investment by Swiss Re Group across the insurance value chain, with the goal of providing a full set of products, services and solutions to our partners and clients.

We are seeking an experienced business analyst to provide expert-level insight and analysis on our products, services, and digital platform, etc. You will advise iptiQ China on how we might improve our products, services, and digital platform by identifying new opportunities and applying the best practices of insurance industry. You will transfer such new opportunities as initial requirements to Tech team and closely monitor the implementation. You will bridge the gap between Tech and the wider business.

 

About Role

- Supporting business transition and helping to establish change.
- Collaborate with team members to collect, analyze, and evaluate information from multiple sources including
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
- Work with information technology professionals to develop a solution that meets business requirements
- Consult with key stakeholders to determine business objectives and success factors
- Work with information technology professionals to develop a solution that meets business requirements 
- Any other activities assigned by Line manager

 

About You

Education
•    College degree or higher in insurance, technology, finance, or related field.

Linguistic ability
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills in Chinese Mandarin is a prerequisite, and
Fluency in English is a must

Professional experience
•    6 years of relevant experience in insurance industry as the business analyst, project manager, product manager, application designer
•    Familiarity with the business rules/flow of Policy Admin, Endorsement, Claim, Billing Collection & Payment, etc.
•    Good at project/requirement management and corresponding tools such as JIRA, DevOps, Confluence, etc.
•    Rich experience with MS Office Suite: Word, PPT, EXCEL
